On 6 February 2001, the Lord spoke to me about the different levels people are willing to submit to and experience God. It refers to Ezekiel 47. Some believers are only willing to “put their feet” in the Presence of God; others go deeper – up to their ankles –, while some even dare to go waist deep… The deeper we go into water the more difficult our movement becomes, and similarly God invites us to “swim” in His Presence, where we lose much of our human control and let Him be God! It will help to read Ezekiel 47 for a clearer understanding. But here is the “free-form poem” that I wrote about this (it is an extract from my first book “Prophecy Breadcrumbs”:

Rain, Wells & River of the Spirit
some can only stand in Spirit rai
they’re refreshed from time to time
others digging wells
they’ve access to the water giving life
as they tap into the Lord’s resource
their thirst is quenched
but God He has a river
a river very wide
a river full of life
it flows from throne above
over temple threshold flows
the temple of His presence
the ones who’ve learnt to live within this river
continually will feel Him close
like Jesus said they’ll thirst no more
yes life will also flow from them
they’ll grow and grow
larger trees they will become
always green
and bearing fruit
others resting in their shade
(pause)
at peak of worship
we’ve often stopped
short of touching Him
we see God’s back
in the distance disappear
He’s moving on
but we have stopped…
stretch your human ableness
pursue Him earnestly
catching up with Him
you’ll find His glory
and His countenance
following along His trail
catch His garment hem
yes He dwells in us
but more as we’re cleansed
experience the manifest
His presence with a bodily touch
our faces shine like Moses’ did
